Marijuana Cultivator Relocating to Rocky Hill, Bringing Jobs

CTPharma is moving its cultivation facility to Rocky Hill in preparation for expansion. With that move will come job openings. The current Portland location is not large enough for the cultivator to maintain operations in.

The current workforce is just 50 employees, but the cultivator plans to double the workforce once the new location is ready to operate, CT Post says. Moving the operation from Portland to Rocky Hill is expected to take about 18 months. It’s not known when the company will start hiring for positions at the new facility.

CTPharma CEO Tom Schultz said, “CTPharma’s relationship with the Town of Portland was excellent and we were reluctant to leave. However, there were no buildings available in Portland that were big enough for CTPharma’s planned expansion and we were very fortunate to identify and purchase the McKesson property.”
