CT Marijuana Research

Connecticut Hospice, Inc. is slated to begin medical marijuana research to reduce opioid use, control vomiting and nausea, and improve the overall well-being of patients. Federal approval has been granted to Connecticut Hospice Inc. for their clinical study.

The Department of Consumer Protection’s commissioner approved a new state law allowing medical marijuana research, according to CT Post. The medical marijuana law in Connecticut also allows for medical marijuana research.

State approval was also granted to St. Francis Hospital to begin studying medical marijuana as pain medication for traumatic injuries.

The research is an effort to increase patients’ quality of life. Connecticut Hospice Inc. plans to use this study to help show how medical marijuana can aid dying patients and relieve some of their debilitating symptoms in an alternative way.
