Connecticut Medical Marijuana Dispensary Moves to Bigger Location

The number of medical marijuana patients in Connecticut is growing steadily. Bluepoint Wellness, located in Branford, required a bigger location to serve patients better. The new location is 471 Main Street.

Eight dispensaries are operational in Connecticut, according to Branford Patch. Bluepoint Wellness’ new location is just across the street from its previous location, making it easy to find. The new location was previously a bank.

It has separate treatment areas for children and adults since those under 18 are permitted to use non-smokable forms of marijuana for qualifying debilitating conditions. The zoning commission approved the proposal to move to the new location unanimously.

Some neighboring businesses are happy to have some of their parking spaces back now that Bluepoint has moved to a larger piece of property with more parking available.

A ninth medical marijuana dispensary is expected to open in Milford in March.
